Privacy

Two different sets of people appear in this policy, and the law treats them differently: the couple who buys an invitation, and the guests who reply to it.
If you bought an invitation
We hold what you gave us and what you put on your invitation:
- Your name, email address and mobile number, to sign you in and to reach you.
- Your payment record — the amount, the date, and the reference our payment provider gives us. We never see or store your card details.
- Everything you publish: names, dates, venues, ceremonies, your story, photographs.
We keep it for as long as your invitation is live, which is 12 months after your wedding, and then delete it. You can delete everything yourself from the studio at any time, and that deletion is immediate and permanent.
If you replied to an invitation
Your reply belongs to the couple, not to us. They decided to ask you; we only store the answer on their behalf and show it to them. In the language of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the couple is the Data Fiduciary and we are their Data Processor, acting only on their instructions.
That means if you want your reply changed or removed, ask the couple — they can do it themselves, and they are the ones who can decide. If you cannot reach them, write to us and we will pass it on.
We do not use guest details for anything else. Not marketing, not analytics, not sharing with anyone. They exist so a couple knows who is coming.
Who else touches your data
- Razorpay, to take payment. They handle your card; we never receive it.
- Contabo, who host the server and store uploaded photographs, in Europe.
- Our own mail server, to send you sign-in codes.
We do not sell data, and there is no advertising or third-party tracking on this site.
Photographs
Photographs you upload are stripped of their embedded camera data — including the GPS location most phones record — before they are stored. They are then reachable by anyone who has the exact link, in the same way your invitation is; they are not listed or indexed anywhere.
Backups
We take a nightly backup of the database so a failure does not lose a couple’s wedding. Backups are kept for 14 days and then destroyed, so deleted data can persist in a backup for up to that long before it is gone everywhere.
